Chicago Webfriends
In early 2016, I mentioned to a group of friends on Slack that we should start a lecture series. I love to learn new things, and, as it turns out, so did my group of friends! It was a group made up primarily of people in tech with interests ranging from design to development and everywhere in between, so there's a great range of knowledge and a number of people willing to speak about things they're passionate about. I facilitated the conversations, organizing locations, times, and speakers, and designed a logo and website to make the whole thing feel official.
I treated my project like a client, starting from the ground up with logo sketches, moodboards, and type and color exploration.

ENAMEL PIN: I worked with local button company Busy Beaver to create custom enamel pins for our group. Proceeds from sales bought pizza and drinks for the meetups. They're still for sale!
